Reginald GlennI want you to take a look at the family in this photo. Smiling faces, enjoying a holiday together at Walt Disney World about four years ago. Look at the man in the photo - an everyday man - a husband and father, a working man enjoying what God has blessed him with…enjoying his family.

Do you know where this man is now? Meet Reginald Glenn. He is in a Texas prison, sentenced to TWENTY years for a crime he did not commit. How did this happen, you ask? Unfortunately this couple (in the photo you see) experienced some troubles and their marriage ended in divorce.

A few years later he met a woman online named Jocelyn Diad. She seemed wonderful and caring and eventually she moved to Houston. Little did Reginald know that Jocelyn was not what she seemed. Infact she was a known con artist - too bad he didn’t know this.

She had told him that she was expecting a settlement from a court case and what ensued was a terrible whirlwind of events that left her at large with an outstanding warrant for her arrest and Reginald not knowing what was happening - completely bewildered. He had been conned by this woman - his new wife - and was left holding the bag on criminal charges…she had stolen money in a highly complicated scheme, unbeknownst to Reginald.

He tried to cooperate with the authorities when he found out what was happening. But before you knew it he was in front of Judge Devon Anderson, and was represented by a lawyer that seemed none too interested in defending him competently. The Judge found him guilty based on something she FELT instead of the facts presented - which showed mistakes made by various parties involved - none of which were on Reginald’s part - except that he trusted someone who turned out to be a con artist. Last February he was convicted and handed down a heavy sentence.

TWENTY YEARS. Which means for the rest of his life, basically. No prior involvement with the law whatsoever, a tax paying, law abiding, and hard working man. Clearly the victim of a constitutional rights violation.

Think this couldn’t happen to you? Well this man is proof that it can. How many other innocent people are in prison?

The events that have happened to Reginald is truly an injustice. I met Reginald at a business meeting about four years ago and remember him well. Always happy, smiling and really enjoying being in business.

When I think of him being so unfairly treated and judged like this it brings tears to my eyes. The Judge and attorney involved clearly have an agenda and it’s clearly not to get to the truth and to have true justice but to punish an innocent man whose only mistake was trusting someone he believed.

Regina, I will continue to pray for strength and endurance for you and the family, during this sad and difficult time, and I will pray that God show favor very soon to Reginald, setting him free and bringing him back home so he can again put his arms around his children, and be there with them doing all the things a great dad like him does.

Many, many blessings to you and the family my dear friend!

    Love U
    Raven

You will definately be in my prayers. It’s a shamed that the Justice system still does this to honest hard working people. But best believe God will make a way. And soon, you and the whole nation will truly see, God comes right on time.

    Peace and love in Christ,
    Brandon.

I pray for you and the family daily, it breaks my heart to see that after all we’ve been through as a people we are still not free. IT BOTHERS me THAT our young people do put their trust in the justice system and they really feel that if they work hard and stay on the right side of the law they have rights. But what they don’t understand is we have not come as far as they think we have. love ya cousin

My heart and prayers go out to you. While you don’t know me the love expressed by your family demonstrates the type of person you are and the life you live.

While I know you have unwavering family support please know that even people who don’t know you are outraged by this injustice and believing that what is right will be done.

I prayerfully look forward to you coming home.

    Reggie,

The first time this story was brought to my attention I was outraged—but not surprised. Sadly, we live in a society where justice is NOT equal–and it certainly isn’t BLIND.

I don’t know what kind of media coverage your story received but as a veteran journalist, I know all too well how the media can make or break any case and I also know how the media “targets” african-american men in the negative sense.

You will be in my prayers and I’m a firm believer that God can make a way out of no way. And He will have the FINAL say so in all of this, you can believe that!
